Dining Services Policies

  • All students living on campus are required to participate in the meal plan.

  • Students requiring dietary accommodation due to a documented disability or allergy must contact the Accessibility Services Office to request accommodation.

  • Students with questions about dietary requirements or religious restrictions should speak with the dining hall manager.

  • Students must present their Harvard ID card to enter the dining facility, which will be swiped for each meal period.

  • Each swipe allows for unlimited servings within a single meal period. Students may not exit and re-enter the dining hall during the same meal period.

  • Food may not be removed from the dining hall.

  • Students must be appropriately dressed in the dining hall; shoes and shirts are required.

  • Only students with a meal plan, and SSP Commuter Students with a Harvard ID, may enter the dining hall. Guests are not permitted during the summer term.

  • Feedback about food or services should first be directed to the dining hall manager, then to the Harvard Summer School Office of Student Engagement and Residential Life.

  • Students withdrawing voluntarily from the program will be charged for meals until submitting a cancellation form.
