Religious Activities

Memorial Church in Harvard Yard holds nondenominational services every Sunday at 10 am during the summer session. For further information call (617) 495-5508 or visit the Memorial Church website.

Harvard Chaplains represents a wide range of religious traditions and exists to identify with and respond to the religious needs of the community. General information may be obtained from Harvard Chaplains at (617) 495-5529 or their website.

The rabbinical and program staffs of Harvard Hillel are available during the summer session at Rosovsky Hall, 52 Mount Auburn Street. Students interested in services (i.e., Conservative, Reform, or Orthodox) should call Harvard Hillel at (617) 495-4695.

A Catholic chaplain is on call at the Harvard Catholic Center, 20 Arrow Street, (617) 868-6585. St. Paul’s Church, (617) 491-8400, at the corner of Bow and Arrow streets holds masses Mondays through Fridays at 8 am and 12:10 pm; Saturdays at 9 am and vigil at 5 pm; and Sundays at 7:30 am, 9:30 am, and 11 am.

The Harvard Islamic Society (HIS) prayer space is located in the basement of Canaday E in Harvard Yard, and Friday prayers are held in Holden Chapel from 1:15 to 2 pm. During Ramadan this summer, HIS will be holding several catered affairs a week, as well as daily communal fast breaking with dates and prayer.
